Background and History of Glen Rock Lumber
Established in 1933 by founder E.B. Leone in Glen Rock, N.J. Glen Rock Lumber was run by E.B. until he passed in 2000 at age 93. After his demise, his son Stephan R. Leone, Esq. assumed control as President and CEO and operated the business with the management team of Robert M. Marotta and Daniel DiFilippo as senior vice presidents,until November 2006 when Glen Rock Lumber was acquired by N.B. Lagman. In April of 2009, Stephan R. Leone, Esq. resumed control of Glen Rock Lumber and with the management team of Robert M. Marotta, Vice President, and Richard A. Merchant Jr., Treasurer, are now handling the daily operation of the business.
Stephan R. Leone,Esq. formally operated a similar building material business and went on to law school. Stephan R. Leone is presently engaged in the practice of law with the firm of Carluccio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle, & Sacks, LLC, Toms River, NJ, which was founded by Stephan R. Leone in 1997.
The office is located on 22-09 Rosalie Street Corner Banta Place, with warehouses and an open yard at various locations in the area. The first warehouse known as Yard # 5, stocked with doors, windows and moldings, is located next to the office. Two blocks farther is Yard No.3 on Banta Place. Across from this warehouse is an open yard which contains lumber, treated lumber, and our engineered wood department. It contains rail siding used to unload boxcars from out-of-state mills for direct deliveries.
To help deliver materials on a timely manner to its valued customers, Glen Rock Lumber maintains a fleet of boom trucks which can reach the sixth floor of any building. It also maintains a large number of flat beds, a box truck, a knuckle boom, and hi-lows to deliver building materials in the tri-state area including Pennsylvania.
Glen Rock Lumber's business is diversified in serving custom-home builders, small tract builders, multi-family housing, home remodeling and additions throughout New Jersey, metropolitan New York, and Pennsylvania.
