Background and History of Glen Rock Lumber
Glen Rock Lumber was founded by E.B. Leone in 1933. The office is located on 22-09 Rosalie Street Corner Banta Place, with warehouses and an open yard at various locations in the area. The first warehouse known as Yard # 5, stocked with doors, windows and moldings, is located next to the office. Two blocks farther is Yard No.3 on Banta Place. Across this warehouse is an open yard which is being leased from New Jersey Transit. It contains rail siding used to unload boxcars from out-of-state mills for direct deliveries.
To help deliver materials on a timely manner to its valued customers, Glen Rock Lumber maintains a fleet of boom trucks which can reach the sixth floor of any building. It also maintains a large number of flat beds, a box truck, a knuckle boom, and hi-lows to deliver building materials in the tri-state area including Pennsylvania.
Glen Rock Lumber's business is concentrated in custom-home builders, small tract builders, multi-family housing, home remodeling and additions throughout northern and central New Jersey. The company has an exceptional reputation with customers, vendors, and competitors for its dependable and ethical business conduct.
In June 2000, the founder E.B. Leone passed away at the age of 93. Since EB's demise, his son, S.R Leone served as the President/CEO of the company. By 2005, sales and profitability of Glen Rock Lumber progressed to over $25M annually.
In November 2006, Glen Rock was acquired by N.B. Lagman. He had been a salesman of the company for over 10 years. Recognized for his expertise as a builder in New Jersey, he is known for his management skills, integrity, and character. He is capable, interested and committed to continuing the successful business and legacy of Glen Rock Lumber in the name of Glen Rock Building Supply, Inc.
